What is Web 2.0?
Why would you want to save all of your bookmarks / favourite web-links somewhere other than your own computer? Obvious answer is so that you can use them wherever you are in the world and where you have access to a good connection!
The tools that people use for the job are usually free to download and very user friendly. Del.ic.ious is probably the best known and has some nice features. Also worth a look is diigo. Whatever you choose you will be able to quickly and simply save the address (url) of the site you are on into a 'virtual database' so that you can call it back whenever you like and from wherever you are.
You can add 'tags' to the sites you want to save so that they are easily found under your own headings be they personal or professional. Some schools already use social book-marking on a class by class basis so the sites that children find at school are available easily at home. Of course, there are the usual Internet safety aspects to consider.
